- Usage Data: Pages visited, search filters used, hostels viewed, and device/browser information for analytics purposes.
- Uploaded Documents: For hostel owners, documents like property proof and ID are stored securely and used solely for verification.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process hostel bookings and schedule visits.
- To send booking confirmations, OTPs, and important updates via email/SMS.
- To personalise hostel recommendations based on your preferences.
- To verify hostel owner listings and maintain platform quality.
- To improve our services and user experience through analytics.
- To respond to queries submitted through our contact form.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share limited information with:
- Hostel Owners: When you book a visit, your name and phone number are shared with the relevant hostel owner.
- Payment Processors: Razorpay receives transaction details necessary to process payments.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or legal proceedings.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All payment transactions are encrypted using SSL/TLS. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised team members only.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to improve your browsing experience, remember your preferences, and analyse site traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly.
6. Your Rights
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your booking. Please read our refund policy carefully before making a payment.
1. Booking Amount
The booking amount of โน2,000 paid through Razorpay is a reservation fee that secures your bed at the selected hostel. This amount is fully adjusted against your first month's rent โ it is not an additional charge.
2. Full Refund Eligibility
You are eligible for a 100% refund of the booking amount if:
- You cancel within 48 hours of making the payment, AND
- Your scheduled visit date has not yet occurred, AND
- You have not moved into the hostel.
3. Partial Refund / No Refund Scenarios
- No Refund: If you cancel after 48 hours of payment and the hostel visit has been completed.
- No Refund: If you have already moved into the hostel and then decide to leave.
- No Refund: If the cancellation is due to false information provided by you during booking.
- Partial Refund: May be considered at our discretion in exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergency with documentation).
4. Hostel Owner Cancellations
If a hostel owner cancels a confirmed booking or the hostel is found to be significantly different from the listing, you will receive a full refund within 5โ7 business days, plus priority rebooking assistance.
5. Refund Process
- Submit your refund request by emailing unofficialmishra9@gmail.com with your booking ID and reason.
- Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method (UPI / card / bank account).
- Refunds typically take 5โ7 business days to reflect, depending on your bank or payment provider.
- You will receive an email confirmation once the refund is initiated.
6. Payment Failures
If your payment fails after being deducted from your account, it will be auto-reversed by Razorpay within 5โ7 business days. If not resolved, contact us with your transaction ID.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering or using the Hostels4Youth platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.
2. User Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to register and make bookings.
- You must provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
- One account per user. Creating duplicate accounts is prohibited.
3. Student Users
- Bookings made through the platform are for genuine residential purposes only.
- Hostels4Youth acts as a listing and discovery platform. The tenancy agreement is between the student and the hostel owner.
- You are responsible for verifying hostel rules, lease terms, and conditions with the owner before move-in.
4. Hostel Owners
- Listings must be accurate, up-to-date, and represent the actual property.
- Owners must complete physical verification before their listing goes live.
- False, misleading, or fraudulent listings will result in immediate removal and possible legal action.
- Owners must honour confirmed bookings. Cancellations may result in penalties.
5. Platform Usage
- Do not use the platform for spam, phishing, or fraudulent activities.
- Do not attempt to circumvent the platform by contacting hostel owners directly to avoid booking fees.
- All communications on the platform must be respectful and lawful.
6. Limitation of Liability
Hostels4Youth is a marketplace platform and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of listed hostels beyond our verification process. We strongly recommend visiting any hostel before finalising your stay.
7. Modifications
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
